Are you passionate about making a difference in the social housing sector? Do you have a desire to contribute your skills to a small, friendly, community-based housing association? Abronhill Housing Association is seeking dedicated people, open to local tenants and those with particular skills listed below, to join our Management Committee.

As a Committee Member, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our organisation while addressing some of the most pressing challenges in the housing sector, such as the delivery of excellent services, affordable housing, Net Zero goals, policy compliance, and comprehensive investment in mixed tenure blocks where we are the minority owner. This includes navigating the complexities of engaging with other owners and ensuring effective delivery of improvements.
What we’re looking for:
We are particularly keen to hear from any tenants or other individuals with skills or experience in:
- Qualified Housing Finance – Treasury, financial statements, and budgeting expertise.
- Asset Management & Compliance – Ensuring properties meet SHQS standards and Net Zero targets.
- Governance and Strategy – Familiarity with legal and regulatory frameworks, including Transfer of Engagements (ToE).
Individuals with these particular skills will be in Co-opted positions but can choose to stand in the next AGM as full members.
