Abronhill Housing Association is pleased to announce the appointment of Audrey Murphy as the new Director, succeeding the retiring Director, Stephen Macintyre. Audrey officially joined the Cumbernauld-based association this month.
Stephen Macintyre, who has worked in the Housing Sector for the past 21 years, will be retiring in March after five years of part-time directorship on behalf of Hillhead Housing Association. Audrey Murphy expressed her enthusiasm for the role, stating, "I am honored to join an organisation dedicated to providing affordable housing in Abronhill. I look forward to collaborating with the committee, staff and getting to know our tenants to enhance our homes and meet Scottish Housing Quality Standards."
Under Stephen's leadership, Abronhill achieved notable milestones, including high Tenant Satisfaction since 2019, a planned maintenance program investing over £402k, successful navigation through the pandemic, compliance with regulatory frameworks, and the acquisition of 36 new homes in 2022.
Chair Craig Burns expressed gratitude to Stephen for exemplary leadership and welcomed Audrey, stating, " We are delighted to have Audrey on board, bringing valuable knowledge and experience to help us overcome challenges while ensuring excellent customer service and engagement with partners in North Lanarkshire."
